Saw a powerful picture this morning of a group of soldiers sitting at a mess hall table, arms around each others shoulders all around the table.. as they bowed their head in prayer together as individuals and as a force of one.
MEN of GOD.. fighting machines unafraid to defend freedom, justice, and those they love to the death.. Husbands who can romance a woman with absolute passion and sincerity that it would make you blush.. Men - powerful men - who humble themselves and pray, seeking God for guidance to do all these things for his glory.. Thank you father for men like these, our guys, American soldiers, Fathers, Husbands, Brothers, Friends.. bless them and keep them in the center of your perfect will, help them to succeed in everything they set their hand to, prosper them, provide for them, overflow the blessing in their lives spiritually and physically and relationally so that they cannot contain the abundance of it all. In the name of Jesus. Amen <3

To Desire To Do It
~ to not only do it.. but to desire to do it.. and to complete the doing of it with what God has put in my hands to do it... in the name of Jesus.
~ ".. this benefits you, who a year ago started not only to do this work but also to desire to do it. So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have. " (2 Cor 8)
~ 2 Corinthians is on fire today.. so much good stuff.. and when I look up the references, it keeps taking me back to that book.. so I am gonna open it in BIBLE GATEWAY and listen to the audio of the ESV while finishing up my work on the compy.. good stuff ♥

Gift of a Friend
One of the greatest gifts a friend can give.. a timely word from the Word of God ♥
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
When evildoers assail me
to eat up my flesh,
my adversaries and foes,
it is they who stumble and fall.

though war arise against me,

One thing have I asked of the LORD,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to inquire in his temple.

Psalm 27
The Sin of Today
The enemy attacks in whatever way works against us, but he
lacks the wisdom of God. So he usually chooses to attack with the opposite of
what he believes God is trying to do. He thinks us all fools (sheep) and will
swallow the poison blindly if it FEELS like it is in the same camp as what God
is doing.. sadly it often works. But not today.. today we are wise as serpents
yet gentle as doves.
So knowing that the breaking forth will involve a unity and
aligning, be watchful for division and things out of order (things that God
says should be ordered a certain way). Also, be watchful for the things that
cause division, the small annoying things and the huge glaring things, old divisions
and new ones. Ask God to increase the
discernment of his ppl to recognize the cunning attempts of the enemy to
distract the ppl of God or to cause us to try to solve matters in our own
strength. Things must be done as God wills.. not as a man wills.
So often in the past, the enemy has caused chaos by working
through the sin of leaders.. because the ppl sinned the sin of not loving God
above all others. Leaders took on a God
complex, cloaked in the guise of a servant leader, and the ppl sinned a great
sin by worshipping them (Leaders being all those given a measure of authority..
pastors, teachers, parents, husbands, employers, etc..) . No man or woman is
above being measured to the Word of God.. no title elevates one person or group
of ppl above others, no title puts all they say or think or declare on the same
plain as God.
That was the sin of recent times, and the division and chaos
in the church has been great. But God has heard the crying out of the ppl, he
has seen the blood of lives ripped open by an effective attack of hell against
the ppl of God because of their own sin. And he declared ENOUGH three years ago
(2010), in the heavens.. and now it is manifesting in the earth. But again the
enemy manipulates us in our weakness, and attacks with the opposite of what God
wills. The move of the Spirit is unity in the church, restoration, the broken
being realigned and becoming one again, the members and functions of the body
healthy and whole and ordered as God designed.
The sin of today is a return to the oldest one.. the sin of rebellion…
birthed by ‘the father of lies.” (Deception and a lying spirit are running
rampant.. just as the Word of God warned would happen in these last days).
We hate that word because it has been so abused.... But God’s system of government, of order, is
not a democracy.. it is a KINGDOM.. which runs much differently. We are a
democracy as the Bride.. but a democracy that functions within the realm of a
Kingdom. Our God is so full of mystery and awesomeness.. so far beyond our
finite minds.. he can make such things work in beauty and order.. things so far
beyond what we can envision and imagine. That is why God the Spirit has come..
to impart the Father’s heart to our hearts as we are able to bear it and grasp
it.. he serves in this hour of the church as “one called alongside to help” .. interpreting
the Word and mind of God to us one step at a time, one battle at a time.
There is a Godly submission.. only to a leader that seeks
God in all their imperfections.. a submission that is to be denied only when
the will of a man tries to teach or demand things contrary to the word and will
of God. Otherwise, leaders, with all their humanity and imperfections, are to
be obeyed within the areas of authority that God has set them in place to
govern. Just as the ppl were told to obey the hypocritical Pharisee in the
things of God.. and yet to not do as they were doing in their hypocrisy.. don’t
become that thing that is attacking you… don’t rebel against the order that God
has ordained and set in place.
The ppl of God have been bloodied in a battle fought
yesterday…
the Church as a whole has been crippled..
God has come to bring the balm of unity to those who seek to
follow truth in all humility.. but he will deal harshly with false humility,
with deception, and with all that calls itself Good that is committing evil.
God gave a time of grace for ppl to scrub out their own wounds.. now he has
come to scrub out the wounds of the Church.
Cleansing coupled with Healing.. it’s the only way to bring health and
one-ness to the body. It is not judgment.. it is loving discipline.
A battle is coming.. one fought in spiritual realms..
God is preparing a ppl to fight it <3

America has the freedom to be straight or to be gay
I will vote against everything that my vote matters to emphasize that homosexuality is sin and detrimental to a person and a society -- spiritually and physically and socially according to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Not all the founding fathers were Christian, but all agreed to frame America’s government around a Christian model. That is why Scripture from the Holy Bible is carved all over our nation’s capital… That is why the God of the Holy Bible is called upon to lead and guide our nation in most all legal proceedings. It was designed to encourage and nurture a healthy society, a nation guided by God.. and yet protected the free will of the individual. Just as God protects a person’s free will to choose God’s morality or not.
Therefore, by the same token, if the ppl of our nation (the PPL and NOT AN OUT OF CONTROL GOVERNMENT) vote to legalize gay marriage, I will not resort to lashing out at ppl. I will not bash or hate on ppl because they have chosen the gay life style. They are not followers of Jesus Christ , have chosen to reject his teachings, and have committed themselves to follow the morality of the world. Our Constitution, much like the Christian faith, allows our nation to continue to follow the morality of Jesus Christ as long as it chooses to as a nation. But we are given the freedom to reject God’s morality as well. Keeping in mind that such a rejection aborts our rights as followers and children of God, as a nation, and forfeits his divine protection and many blessings.

If homosexuals or lesbians want to attend a Christian church, and are willing to confess that they are struggling with the sin of homosexuality.. then I will love them and welcome them and encourage them in their search for God's truth.
However, the line for me, is when someone calls themselves a Christian and begins to deny the biblical truth that the gay lifestyle is as much a sin as prostitution or lying or murder. It is a different thing when someone acknowledges that they are under conviction for their sin as compared to someone who tries to justify it by calling something good that God clearly says is evil.

Keeping in mind that true conviction involves making a sincere effort to repent and reform (which often manifests as a process over a measure of time).. forming personal disciplines as well as accountability to others in an attempt to be free of that sin and brought closer to conforming to the image of Jesus Christ.
