Always a Day of Grief

from Proverbs 17.. "he who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished."

from Proverbs 24.. "Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, lest the Lord see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from him. Fret not yourself because of evildoers, and be not envious of the wicked, for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out."

Make no mistake.. God will deal with those who do evil, especially against the innocent and the poor and the ppl of God.. but we are not to gloat over such judgement.. we should grieve that it had to come to judgement against anyone to make the evil stop.. if we rejoice that our enemy dies or must suffer, we become like them.. evil.. Jesus said that the disciples didn't realize what spirit they were of when they wanted to call down lightning from heaven and massacre those insulting them. There are times when death and penalty must come.. but the attitude of our heart must be in alignment with God's heart.. not full of arrogance and hate. Vengeance will come.. but it belongs to God not us.. we can rejoice that evil has ended.. but the loss of life in any circumstance is a day of grief and never rejoicing ♥
