Still caught up in 1 and 2 Corinthians.. it just keeps coming up. I think it was a church that drifted from the mark, so God laid out all the things they needed to clean up to get focus back on their first love... back to the work that God was calling them too and off of traditions and ritual and habit and TRENDS... wow, just occurred to me while typing this.. that is HUGE concerning the church to...day.. we have gotten way off on TRENDS and away from the foundations of our faith and the Word of God which teaches them... so any way.. the letters to the Corinthians contain so much good stuff for us today, in this hour, specifics to seeing revival in the church right now.. just thinking out loud.. rambling.. you already knew that tho.. lol.
The Church must stop following TRENDS above following Christ.
"No other gods before me" means no gods above him.. but it also means no other gods in his presence.. which is only everywhere and anywhere in heaven and in the earth. We must see trends for what they are, just another tool that can be used for the cause of good or the cause of evil. Nothing more. No matter who is pushing it.. pastor, celebrity, friend, family..whoever.
God is God.. and the only one worthy of our worship,
the only one that should be elevated in our lives.
Everything else is on the same level with us, eye to eye, nothing more.
How great is it knowing that God is so far above us.. and yet he came down to walk beside us, to be personal with us, to look eye to eye with us when he says he loves us. Makes me fall in love with him all over again every time I think about it.
